Enjoy food\, music\, entertainment\, local vendors\, face painting\, a kids’ zone\, line dancing\, and opportunities to connect with community partners.  \nSee the full schedule of events below. \nJune 19\, 2026 \nCivil Rights District (16th St N and 5th Ave) \nHistoric AG Gaston Motel  \nAlicia’s Coffee: Open from 7:00am-8:00pm  \nThe Gift Shop on 5th: Open from 10:00am-7:00pm \nAG Gaston Motel Gallery: Open from 10:00am-7:00pm \n  \n16th Street Baptist Church  \nGalleries will be open and free to the public from 10:00am-3:00pm\, with gallery entry ending at 3:00pm.  \n  \nBirmingham Civil Rights Institute  \nGalleries will be open and free to the public from 12:00pm-4:00pm\, with gallery entry ending at 3:15pm.  \n  \nNational Park Service \nNPS will provide two (2) free tours of the Civil Rights National Monument at 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Registration is required as space is limited to 25 people per tour.  \n  \nEnjoy music\, food trucks\, vendors\, and community partners from 1:00–8:00 PM at the block party on 16th St N and 5th Ave. Children can explore the Kid’s Zone with face painting and hands-on activities throughout the day\, while families connect and learn from community partners in the breezeway. We’ll keep the celebration going through the evening with Birmingham’s own Ebony Arrington teaching line dancing from 5:00–7:00 PM.
