It's "Showtime at the Apollo - Birmingham Style" with the Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation Gala

Become a part of a fabulous evening of music and entertainment for a good cause with the 2012 Birmingham Sickle Cell Gala as we do Showtime at the Apollo, Birmingham Style!

The Sickle Cell Association along with UAB have partnered to develop an Adult Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center in Birmingham, AL. Currently adults with sickle cell must be treated at Children's Hospital.

The Association was charged to raise $1 million in seed funding with UAB matching the seed amount, to help bring the dream of an adult center to fruition at the UAB Kirklin Clinic. Thus, the "Showtime" event was started to help raise the $1 million AND within 5 years, the organization reached it's seed funding goal!

With the excitement and overwhelming success of the event, it has been one of the most sought after events in the city.  Even more, we are humbled when hearing that other event gala's desire to pattern theirs after "Showtime"!
